What does CAODC do?

The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors represents drilling and service rig contractors throughout Canada. The Association membership accounts for nearly 100% of Canadian drilling rig contractors (land-based and offshore), and 80% of Canadašs service rig contractors.

The CAODC is a meeting place for the drilling and service rig industries. The Association is directed by industry to coordinate various initiatives. These initiatives focus on equipment standards, safety practices and training options. One of the Associationšs recent initiatives has been the collaboration with apprenticeship divisions to implement a trade for drilling rig occupations.

It is the goal of the CAODC to ensure that Canadašs drilling and service rig industries remain among the best-trained and best-equipped in the world.

The CAODC is a ready means of contact and co-operation with federal and provincial governments, municipal authorities, and others, in matters relating to the oil and gas well drilling industry.
